The US embassy in the Turkish capital, Ankara, was shaken by a suicide thunderous explosion. In details, a suicide bomber managed to bypass tight security measures imposed in the vicinity of the embassy and to enter the second gate before bombing himself inside the building, leaving two dead and several wounded.

Bomb in US Embassy in Turkey : Messages To?The Turkish security authorities announced that the bomber, is a young Turk named "Ecevit Shanley" and belongs to the "People's Revolutionary Front," a leftist organization banned in Turkey and described as "extremist".
This organization is strongly known for its opposition to US policies in the region and strong support for the struggle of the Palestinian people and other peoples. It further stands alongside Syria and its Syrian and accuses the Turkish government of being part of the international war on Syria.

Earlier, the Turkish security authorities campaigned raids and mass arrests against the organization's activists and lawyers.
Thus, some people analyzed that the organization avenged the sufferings of its supporters, as well as the arrests and the closure of shops and institutions belonging to its associates.
Amid all this, the targeting of the US embassy in Ankara and the explosion inside the building showed a clear security breakthrough. It is worth mentioning that the embassy, located in Ankara's downtown, is surrounded by barriers and security points that extend to all the surrounding streets. Moreover, no one is allowed to reach the embassy's gate without a thorough inspection.
Politically, the operation can't be read away from the regional developments and events, specifically Syria and the role played by both Washington and Ankara in the war on it.

Some Turks, especially the leftist organizations accuse both Ankara and Washington of being responsible for the continuity and the worsening of Syria's crisis as well as for closing the doors to any political solution to stop that might stop the bloodshed.
This leads to the conclusion that the bombing carried a double message. The first message was sent to the US, which is listed by leftist organizations at the top of Turkish peoples' enemies.
In parallel, the bombing carried a message to the Turkish government, accused of implementing US-Western agendas seeking to divide the countries of the region and redrawing its borders through the Great Middle East Project.

This comes as the bombing coincided with political movement and popular demonstrations against Recep Tayyip Erdogan's government, particularly its interference in the Syrian affairs by both: providing all forms of support to the armed Syrian opposition groups and deployment of Patriot missiles along the border with Syria.
