The Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdul Karim Ali accentuated that Syria holds the element of surprise to retaliate the aggression made by "Israeli" fighter jets on a Syrian research center near Damascus in the right place and time.
In an interview with al-Ahed News Website, Ali stated, "The "Israeli", American, Arab, and regional regimes realize that Syria, defending its sovereignty and land, holds the element of surprise to retaliate the aggression."
He added, "I cannot predict what follows, and the authorities responsible are to decide the appropriate response and choose the way and place."
Syria's Ambassador reiterated that the Zionist aggression reveals the deep link between Syria's two-year events and the role of "Israel" in complementing this war.
He further pointed out that the targeted site and other similar ones were subject to repeated attempts of control by "al-Nusra Front" and terrorist groups nurtured by Arab, regional, American, and European forces. When these groups, according to Ali, were unable to occupy these sites due to the Syrian Army's endurance, "Israel" raided this site.
"This belligerence," Ambassador Ali added, "displayed Syria's strength and tight military structure, and came as a result to the failure of the aggressive war on Syria and all American, European, Turkish, and Gulf support in achieving this war's goals."
Moreover, he highlighted, "The "Israeli" aggression was an indication to the failure of these attacks and was described as a boost for the terrorist organizations' broken morale."
"We must not forget the role of the intellectual Bernard-Henri Lévy in the [so-called] Syrian opposition's conferences that "Israel" supported and sponsored via Lévy," Abdul Karim Ali underscored.
Regarding the international silence towards the "Israeli" aggression on Syria, Ambassador Ali stated, "The international [community]'s stance is an accomplice in this aggression, and is added to the community's long record of turning a blind eye to the "Israeli" violations of Arabs' rights in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Tunisia, and all Arab lands."
