"Israel" Attacks Research Center near Damascus

Two years on the global war on Syria, the US-"Israeli" backed coalition against Damascus achieved nothing but more failures.
Thus "Israel" decided to cross the red line and enter directly into the confrontation. A step that had already received a US bless and green line.
In details, Syria's army announced that "Israel" warplanes stroke at Wednesday's dawn a military research center in the area of Jamraya, northwest of the capital, Damascus, and about 15 kilometers from the border with Lebanon.
The statement said the center was responsible for "raising the level of resistance and self-defense" of Syria's military. It said the strike destroyed the center and a nearby building, martyring two workers and wounding five others.
"The strike came after terrorist groups made several failed attempts in the past months to take control of the site," the statement added.

It further mentioned that ""Israeli" warplanes entered Syrian airspace via Mount Hermon, or Jabal el-Sheikh in Arabic, at low altitude and under the radar."
"They... carried out an act of aggression, bombarding the site, causing large-scale material damage and destroying the building," state television quoted the military as saying, and noted that "this assault is one of a long list of acts of aggression and criminality against the Arabs and Muslims."

Moreover, the Syrian army statement denied the "Israeli" leaked claims that the strike targeted a convoy heading from Syria to Lebanon, and instead maintained it was linked to the war pitting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's forces against rebels seeking to push him from power.
"This proves that "Israel" is the instigator, beneficiary and sometimes executor of the terrorist acts targeting Syria and its people," it said.
Meanwhile, al-Manar channel reported that 4 "Israeli" jets bombed the site with 9 missiles.
The "Israeli" military declined to comment. Washington was similarly tight-lipped, when White House spokesman Jay Carney was asked about the strike.
"I'd refer you to the government of "Israel" for questions about deliberations or actions that they may or may not have taken," he said.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Army said "Israeli" warplanes have sharply increased their activity over Lebanon in the past week, including at least 12 sorties in less than 24 hours in the country's south.
Another Lebanese security official said the flights were part of "increased activity" in the past week but did not elaborate.
