Eight Years Child Martyred in Bahrain

An eight-year-old Bahraini boy was martyred due to inhalation of poisonous tear gas fired by the al-Khalifa regime forces during a demonstration in the country.

Qasim Habib Jafar was martyred when Bahraini forces attacked an anti-regime protest in Karbabad village near the capital, Manama, on Saturday.
Opposition protests were also reported in the northeastern island of Sitra despite an ongoing regime crackdown.
This comes as the Saudi-backed regime forces fired tear gas and stun grenades to disperse anti-regime protesters in the capital. Several demonstrators were arrested in the traditional market area of Manama.

In parallel, the protesters clashed with security forces, as they were moving towards Manama's Pearl Square, also known as Martyr Square, the birthplace of the popular uprising that began two years ago.
Security forces fired tear gas and gunshots to break up the rally, which was also held to commemorate martyrdom of martyr kid .
Over the past months, a number of Bahrainis, including children, have died due to inhalation of poisonous tear gas fired by Bahraini forces.

Last year, Amnesty International warned about the Bahraini regime's misuse of tear gas against protesters and called for an investigation into the tear gas-related deaths.
Bahrainis have been staging demonstrations since mid-February 2011, demanding political reform. In response, the Manama regime launched a brutal crackdown that led to a dozens of martyrs, hundreds of injury as well as the arrest of many rights activists, doctors and nurses since the uprising began.
