According to Haaretz "Israeli" daily, "Israel" security services, Army chief of staff Benni Gants, Air Force commander Amir Eshel, and Minister of the so-called "Internal Front Protection" Avi Dichter, who replaced war minister Ehud Barak, participated in the meeting.
Meanwhile, the daily's military affairs commentator, Amos Harel, didn't mention details of the results of the meeting and its decisions.
However, he pointed out that the meeting was specifically held to discuss the so-called "Syria's chemical risk stocks, the regime's scenarios, or the possibility that the chemical stocks are transferred to hostile sides either in Syria or abroad.
Harel stressed that the meeting was exceptional in terms of the greatly sensitive debate.
"This explains Netanyahu's rush to hold a similar session directly after the end of the elections and in parallel to the internal mobility on the background of the difficulties in forming the next government," the daily viewed.
Ahead of the elections, Netanyahu held a special governmental session to discuss Syrian Chemical weapons. He also visited last week the occupied Syrian Golan Heights and listened to the report of the Northern Commander, Yair Golan, on the security conditions and developments in the other side of the border.
