A well-informed source in Homs Province accentuated, "the armed militias fighting the Syrian Army units use civilians as human shields in the areas they are in, to obstruct or delay the progress of Syrian units, especially in Kafaraya village, where civilians were prohibited from leaving their homes."
In an interview with "al-Ahed" News website, the source mentioned, "The Syrian Army continues to survey the villages of Jobar, Soltanieh, and Kafaraya, and controls these areas through different weaponry to prevent terrorists from sneaking into their neighboring areas."
Moreover, clashes continued in al-Khalidieh, Homs, between a unit from the Syrian Army and the so-called Free Syrian Army, resulting in a number of killed among the militiamen and a martyr among the Syrian Army.
