Local Editor
The Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan accentuated its determination in participating in the protests to be held on Friday with the slogan, "popular legitimacy", indicating that its participation will be as massive as previous demonstrations.
Around 55 youth and tribal groups are to participate in Friday's gathering, protesting the January 23 parliamentary elections based on a ‘one-person one vote-system'.
The general supervisor of the Muslim Brotherhood movement in Jordan, Zaki Bani Irshid stated that the Brotherhood is counted as a major participant in the rally, aiming at reformation in Jordan not obstructing elections.
In an interview with al-Ghad daily, he indicated that "performing elections according to the non-harmonious election law will not bail the country out of its crisis."
He added, "The previous political messages did not reach the decision-makers," underlining, "the number of participants will be remarkable."
