Al-Assad to as-Sayyed: My Initiative In line with International Efforts to Solve Syria’s Crisis

The former head of the Lebanese General Security Directorate General Jamil as-Sayyed mentioned some aspects of his two-hour meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

According to al-Akhbar Lebanese daily, al-Assad stressed that the priority is to both ending violence and calming the Syrian people.
With regard to other titles of his initiative, al-Assad confirmed that they aren't separated from what is being discussed in the international scenes and coordinated with the Syrian authorities.

On the other hand, as-Sayyed unveiled that he handed the Lebanese General Prosecutor Hatem Madi an original CD copy of four recent phone calls between member of the Future Bloc MP Oqab Saqr and armed groups in Syria.

These are to be included with in the necessary legal actions , particularly in the investigations of the case submitted by former Prime Minister Saad Hariri and Saqr against al-Akhbar daily and OTV channel.
