Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Imam Ali Khamenei warned on Tuesday of plots hatched by Iran's enemies on the threshold of the presidential elections due June 14.
"One of the enemy's plots is to preoccupy people's minds by political, economic or security adventures, on the threshold of elections," the Ayatollah reiterated.
"Unlike the past, the arrogant powers explicitly admit that the aim of the sanctions is to tire the Iranian people, provoke them to oppose the Islamic Republic, mount pressure on the Iranian officials and ultimately change the calculations of the officials," the Leader noted.
However, Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that Iranians are cautious enough not to be deceived by these plots.
