Tens of Palestinians were injured Tuesday during clashes in Jenin village after an undercover "Israeli" arrest operation in the area.

Dozens of Palestinians Injured in ’Israeli’ Aggression in WBAccording to Maan news agency, "Israeli" forces raided the village of Tamoun, south Jenin and arrested Murad Bani Odeh, a member of Islamic Jihad, leading to clashes with residents.
"At least thirty people were wounded in the clashes, with live ammunition, rubber bullets and tear gas fired by "Israeli" soldiers," head of a local committee against settlements Ahmed Assad said.

Meanwhile, a man was hit in the eye with a tear gas canister and taken to hospital for treatment and over 100 people suffered smoke inhalation from tear gas.
Dozens of "Israeli" military jeeps arrived in the area as reinforcements during the clashes and set up checkpoints at the entrances to the village, preventing people from leaving, Assad added.
Locals said that the "Israeli" soldiers were disguised as vegetable vendors during the arrest operation, The Associated Press reported.

For its part, "Israeli" Ynet reported that "the soldiers were part of "Israel's" "Mistaarvim", or so-called Arabized, elite unit."
An "Israeli" military source told AFP that the operation began as covert then "expanded into a non-clandestine one, according to plan."
It is worth mentioning that "Israeli" security officials have noted a rise in the number of clashes in the West Bank since last month's United Nations vote to raise the Palestinians' diplomatic standing and after the "Israeli" aggression failed to achieve its goals in Gaza.
