Mehman-Parast Warns Iranians to Avoid US Visits

The Iranian Foreign Ministry in a statement on Monday warned Iranian nationals to avoid unnecessary trips to the US.
This came after an Iranian national, Daryoush Sarreshteh, 73, died in the US two days after being intensely interrogated by officers at Dulles International Airport.
"The unusual 5-hour-long interrogation and the inhumane behaviour towards an old man like Mr. Daryoush Sarreshteh cannot be an acceptable situation," Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast said in a statement on Monday.
On US Election Night last month, Sarreshteh and his wife Sakineh, arrived at Dulles International Airport to visit their daughter and granddaughter.
Two days after the intense interrogation, Sarreshteh suffered a sudden heart attack and died in his daughter's home. His family blamed the interrogation officers to have killed him.
