Russia Slams Terrorist Attack in Akraba, Syria

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Alexander Lukashevich condemned on Wednesday "the despicable mass murder of innocent people in central Syria's Akraba" as dozens of civilians lost their lives in a terrorist attack.
In a press interview, Lukashevich condoled families of Akraba, stressing that, "Moscow has repeatedly taken notice of the fact that the Syrian armed opposition increasingly uses terrorist methods in its standoff with the government."
"We would like to emphasize that the responsibility for the barbaric crime in Akrab, murder of schoolchildren in Muheyyam al-Wafideyn and numerous other terrorist attacks in Syria lies not only with direct perpetrators and the organizations to which they belong, but is to some extent shared by those who directly or indirectly support a military solution," the spokesperson reiterated.
Lukashevich saw that, "...another tragedy in Syria requires an adequate response from the international community and all external forces," underscoring that, "an unconditional imperative should be an immediate transition consistent with the ideas and attitudes agreed in the Geneva communiqué of the "Action group" on Syria on 30 June."
