Syrian Interior Ministry under Attack, New Journalist Dead

At least 5 people were killed and 23 were injured in three bombings that rocked Wednesday the Syrian Interior Ministry building in Kafarsouseh, Damascus.
Interior Minister Mohammad al-Shaar and other top ranking officials were unharmed, state television reported.
Images from the scene broadcast by al-Ikhbariya television channel showed piles of rubble, and blood on the ground.
The adjacent building housing the Egyptian embassy was also hit, Egypt's official MENA news agency reported.
"An embassy employee was injured, and the building was damaged," MENA quoted Egyptian diplomat Alaa Abdel Aziz as saying.
A statement from the Syrian Interior Ministry said that "this criminal act will not dissuade it from combating terrorism along with the Army and Armed Forces."
It further vowed to exert all its forces and sacrifice everything for the sake of the security of citizens and the country, stressing that it will show no leniency in pursuing the terrorists.
Among that dead was member of the People's Assembly for the Syrian Social Nationalist Party, Abdullah Kayrouz.
In another attack, the armed groups detonated an explosive device planted in a public transport minibus al-Mazzeh 86 neighborhood in Damascus, martyring and injuring a number of civilians including women and children.
SANA reported that among the dead is a child as well as Journalist Anmar Yassin Mohammad who works at the News Center.
