"Israeli" forces raided Tuesday the offices of three Palestinian non-governmental organizations, confiscating computers and other material.

"At 3:00 am Tuesday, 11 December 2012, the Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights office was raided by the "Israeli" Occupation Forces, "the group said on its website.
It further mentioned that "four laptops, one hard disk and a video camera were taken among other materials. The "Israelis" destroyed the office."
"Desks and ransacked filing cabinets were left scattered after the raid," the group stated, and noted that "at this moment, we are not clear as to what has been confiscated."

During the raid, clashes broke out with local youths and "Israeli" soldiers, who responded by firing tear gas.
In 2002, the "Israeli" soldiers also raided and destroyed the group's offices.
Addameer revealed that "Israel" also targeted the Ramallah offices of the Union of Palestinian Women's Committees and the Palestinian NGO Network. Similarly, the Agricultural Work Committees was also another "Israeli" target.
"Addameer condemns this attack on human rights and civil society organizations, and sees it as an attempt to cripple solidarity with the prisoners' movement," the group said.

"This comes in the context of the UN's decision," Allam Jarrar of the Palestinian NGO Network told reporters on Tuesday morning.
In parallel, he stressed that "This is a message by the "Israelis" to the Palestinians, saying that when they take decisions or form patriotic organizations to seek their freedom, the occupation will use aggression to try and stop us."

For his part, Palestinian National Initiative chief Mustafa Barghouti described the "Israeli" raids as "piracy", adding that targeting civil society organizations that serve the Palestinian public is unacceptable.
In February, "Israeli" forces raided two Palestinian television networks in Ramallah and briefly detained four employees.
