Iranian Deputy Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Mohammad Hejazi, stressed Saturday that "the situation which the Zionist regime is currently suffering from indicates the defeat of the forged regime since it never even imagined the kind of victories the Islamic resistance gained in Gaza."
Regarding the Zionist regime's disgracing defeats in Lebanon and Gaza, Hijazi noted that "the military equipment the Zionist regime used in the unfair wars was among the most advanced in the world."
In an interview with IRNA news agency, he stated: "The trend of the victories of the resistance during the 33-day, 22-day and 8-day wars showed that the Zionist regime is losing its strength, and its capability to resist the Palestinian resistance attacks is declining."
"The Zionists foolishly thought that by bombing and advancing their forces in the regions near Gaza, they could eliminate the resistance of Gaza's people and tarnish the administration of the Palestinian government," the Iranian commander viewed.
However, he added, that "the victories gained by resistance movement proved that the Zionist regime's potentials in annihilating the resistance movement is declining."
In parallel, Hejazi reiterated that many western analysts, too, believe that the Zionist regime is moving towards ultimate collapse.
According to the official, "American and Western experts have repeatedly announced that there would be no trace of the "Israeli" regime within the next 10 years and this shows that they have also heard "Israel's" death knells."
