Haitham Manna to al-Ahed: We Agree with Iran on Rejecting Regional, Int’l Hegemony

The head of "the National Coordination Committee for Democratic Change" [Syrian opposition], Haitham Manna, stressed that his visit to Tehran "tackled the failing international talks on Syria, including the meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his US counterpart Hillary Clinton."
He further noted that "the discussions focused on several topics on top of which are the basic needs of Syrian people such as relief aids and the end of violence."
"There are a lot of common points with Iran, including the rejection of any regional or international hegemony parallel to resisting occupation," the Syrian opposition figure confirmed.
In parallel, he mentioned that "the meetings with the Syrian officials were characterized by openness and honesty."
This comes as the head of the [NCCDC] visited Iran a few days ago, where he met with senior Iranian officials on top of whom are: Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, and the Secretary of the Iranian National Security Supreme Council, Saeed Jalili.
