Turkey, US Censure "Israel" on New Settlement Plan

"Israel's" decision to build 3,000 new housing units in East of al-Quds arose various positions from both Turkey and the US, as both countries called for an immediate halt of construction.
""Israel's" illegal settlement activities intentionally deprive conditions of lasting peace in the region," Turkish FM Ahmad Davutoglu stated Sunday.

He added that "Israel" will never achieve its goals by pursuing unilateral policies, and should commit to international agreements and conventions.
On a similar note, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stated "These activities [settlements] set back the cause of a negotiated peace."
  "America supports the goal of a Palestinian state, living side by side in peace and security with "Israel"," she accentuated in a speech at the Saban Center for Middle East Policy in Washington.
"Just as "Israel" cannot accept the threat of rockets, none of us can be satisfied with a situation that condemns people on both sides to conflict every few years," Clinton further stated.

It is worth mentioning that "Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the construction of the 3,000 new units in retaliation to the UN General Assembly vote to upgrade the Palestinian authority to "non-member state".
