Following Iron Dome Failure, Upgraded Magic Wand Designed

"Israel's" War Ministry and the US's Missile Defense Agency have completed the first round of tests on the Magic Wand interceptor missile system designed to intercept Hizbullah's missiles fired from Lebanon.
The one-million-dollar system is said to be able to intercept any object launched from at least 70 kilometers. It was designed to intercept ballistic missiles as well as long-range rockets.
A senior official at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems stated, "The Magic Wand's radar tracked the target from the beginning until interception. Unlike the Iron Dome, it's a system without batteries that operates as a national unit."
"This system will defend against numerous threats, ranging from missiles that target low-flying helicopters to any imaginable ballistic threat," said Rafael's chief administrator of the Magic Wand and Air Defense department, Col. Pini Youngman.
"The purpose of the system is to be able to deal with everything. It is based on highly advanced, cutting edge interception technology," explained Col. Youngman.
Youngman added that the Magic Wand can manage simultaneous attacks, selecting the most threatening. The system also identifies airborne objects that should not be targeted, such as "Israeli" aircrafts and missiles.
"Israeli" officials predicted that the Magic Wand, also known as David's slingshot, would become operational in 2014.
It is noteworthy to mention that the Iron Dome used in the recent "Israeli" aggression on Gaza, failed to intercept many rockets fired from Gaza on key settlements in "Israel", such as Tel Aviv and Kiryat Malachi.
