Even before a truce was declared, it was obvious that Gaza blood conquered "Israel's" massacres and brutality. This came as the international diplomacy rushed to save "Israel" from Gaza's quagmire.
In Cairo, Hamas Leader Khaled Mashaal hailed the resistance that led to this victory.

Gaza Celebrates Victory, Hamas Hails Accomplishment During a joint press conference with Islamic Jihad chief Ramadan Abdullah Shallah, Mashaal stated that ""Israel" had failed in its adventure when it launched attacks on Gaza and accepted Palestinian terms."
"It failed, praise be to God," Mashaal stated, and noted that "the "Israelis" capitulated to the terms dictated by the resistance. Eight days of fighting forced them to surrender... The enemy's leaders failed in their adventure."
As he thanked Egypt that did not "sell out the resistance or apply pressure, it acted responsibly," Mashaal highlighted that "we can rebuild the damaged structures. The enemy failed in its plot."

Meanwhile, Gazans took to the streets to celebrate the ceasefire. They fired into the air and gave out candy. Chants praising the victory could be heard from the mosques' speakers.
Women leaned over balconies ululating with joy as children stuffed four-abreast in the open trunks of cars clapped and sent out hoarse screams of "God is Great!"

"We feel like we've got our freedom back, our lives back. Thank God for Hamas, and thank God for the patience and strength of the Palestinian people in humbling "Israel"," said Mohammed Skeik, marching with a pack of fist-pumping friends.

Palestinians in the West Bank also celebrated the victory.
A spokesman for the armed wing of the Popular Resistance Committees said the Palestinian factions in Gaza defeated "Israel". ""Israel" and its army surrendered to the power of the resistance on the ground and accepted all of its demands," he said.

Moreover, he mentioned: "The resistance taught "Israel" a lesson with its unity and force; a lesson "Israel" won't forget for the next 60 years."
Similarly, Hamas politburo member Izzat al-Rishq wrote on his Twitter account that "the resistance won and imposed its terms on the "Israeli" enemy." He also thanked the "heroic jihad fighters."
