Imam Khamenei: Conspiracy against Syria Aims to Break Anti-"Israel" Resistance Chain

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei reiterated Iran's clear stance on Syria, warning of plots by arrogant powers to break anti-"Israel" resistance by targeting Syria.

"The reality of the Syria issue is that the arrogant front intends to eliminate the connecting link of the anti-"Israel" resistance chain in the region which is located in the neighborhood of the Zionist usurper regime," Imam Khamenei said.

However, His Eminence confirmed that "they will fail in their attempt."
In a meeting with Iranian Hajj officials on Monday, the Leader underlined preventing arms flow into Syria as the only solution to the country's crisis.

Imam Khamenei stated that it is natural for any government to counter the opposition when they receive arms from outside the country.
"If the opposition forces in Syria give up their weapons, then the government can be demanded to listen to the opposition views and allow them to express their views," he added.

The Leader emphasized that if the Syrian opposition groups laid down their arms, it would be possible for them to demand the government to hear their views and allow them to express their positions.

Meanwhile, His Eminence blasted certain foreign countries for equipping terrorists in Syria with weapons.
