Lebanese Foreign Minister, Adnan Mansour, stressed Tuesday that " the bloodshed that Syria is suffering affects us negatively in the Arab world."

Mansour: Solving Syria Crisis An Ethical ObligationIn his speech during the inauguration session of the Arab and European Foreign Ministers gathering in Cairo, Mansour confirmed: "Resolving the Syrian crisis is an ethical obligation to which we must all contribute, so as to guarantee security and stability in the region."

"All these regional developments mustn't make us forget a fifty years old case," he viewed, and noted that "the Arab Spring passed over the region while the Palestinian winter continues to no end."
In parallel, he stressed that "solving the Palestinian cause remains an obligatory path to anchor stability in the Arab world."

"To solve this issue on the bases of comprehensive and just peace forms the only path for the consolidation of stability and security in the Arab world and in our near neighborhood, headed by the European Union countries," the minister said.
He further shed light on the continuous "Israeli" injustice acts toward Palestinians, violations against 1701 and occupation of Lebanese territories.

""Israel's" acts; violating 1701, occupying Syrian Golan, refusing Palestinians return to their homeland and poring over weaponry, mainly nuclear ones, resembles a major threat to the Arab national security," he clarified.

Thus, the Lebanese FM emphasized calls for a weapon-free region and urged whoever was "keen on peace", to exert needed pressure on "Israel" to make it comply with peace obligations.
