The United Nations Secretary General Spokesman, Martin Nesirky, stated on Thursday that Ban Ki-Moon is worried of the provocative statements released by "Israeli" officials on the Iran's Nuclear Program.
In a press conference in UN's New York headquarters, Nesirky declared : "The UN Secretary General believes Middle East tension should be handled with dialogue rather than threats."
This account came as a response to Iranian Ambassador to UN Mohammad Khazaei's letter to Ban Ki-Moon, demanding the latter to slam "Israel" for its provocative statements and threats of war on Iran.
In this context, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stated that the conflict of the nuclear file should be resolved by direct Washington-Tehran talks.
Ahmadinejad's remarks came in a press conference on the occasion of the fifth Democracy Forum in Bali, Indonesia.
"We have declared that the official representatives from other states can inspect Iran's nuclear sites as Iran is the only country in the world which has opened the door of its nuclear sites to the world media," Ahmadinejad said.
He further invited all nuclear scientists to inspect Iran's nuclear sites to see that there is no nuclear weapons inside Iran.
"We believe in friendly relations between nations and governments and Iran welcomes any relations based on justice and mutual respect," the Iranian President added.
In parallel, he noted that "to resolve the issue, there is no need for any organization to interfere in direct US-Iran talks."
