Makdissi: Al-Arabi Submitted Credentials to States, Terrorists Seeking to Destroy Syria

Damascus on Thursday lashed out at Arab League chief Nabil al-Arabi, saying he has "submitted his credentials to states and terrorist organizations that are seeking to destroy Syria."
The Spokesman of Syrian Ministry for Foreign affairs, Jihad Makdissi stated that he is not surprised by the action of al-Arabi in repeating his hostile statements against Syria.
Makdissi said that al-Arabi's hostile statements against Syria came before heading to the Qatari capital, Doha, which is the main reason of Syrians' bloodshed.
He added that this move makes al-Arabi a partner, a sponsor and a tool in this flagrant targeting.
"Arabi is hallucinating about changing the political system of a founding state of the Arab League and he's only an employee who works for its states," Syria's foreign ministry spokesman said.
On Wednesday, al-Arabi said Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's regime will not stay in power for long, urging the opposition meeting in Qatar to put aside their differences.
"It is important to unify the opposition's visions, especially because everyone knows that the regime in Syria will not remain for long and one day there will be a new situation in Syria," he told reporters in Cairo.
