Chairman of Iranian National Security Alaa-Eddin Borujerdi indicated that the massacres in Syria unmasked the inhumane truth of the opposition.
Borujerdi, during the end of Syrian ambassador Hamed al-Hassan's mission in Tehran, stated that Iran and Syria have supported the Lebanese and Palestinian resistance in the face of Zionist assaults, specifically during the 33-day war against Lebanon and the 22-day war against Gaza.

Iran: Massacres in Syria Unveil True Opposition, Pro-violence Conference on Syria Treason "Over the past years, Tehran-Damascus relations have turned into the main axis of resistance against the Zionist Regime and its international supporters, and have played a strategic and effective role in supporting the rights of the Muslims," he added.
Borujerdi pointed out the latest callous massacres against the Syrian people by the terrorists, and stated that these inhumane events uncovered the true face of the Syrian opposition, also their regional and international supporters.
For his part, the Syrian ambassador to Tehran stressed that the Syrian people currently face a broad attack from the American-"Israeli"-French-British axis and their allies in the region, and indicated terrorist groups such as "al-Qaeda" and "Hypocrite groups" prevail in Syrian territory.

On another note, Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister of Arab and African affairs, Dr. Hossein Amir Abdul al-Lahaan, stressed that any conference encouraging constant killing is considered as treason to the Syrian people.

Abdul al-Lahaan added, in a press interview, that the Doha conference is expected to deliver a positive message to the truce, and encourage national dialogue.

"Syria took crucial steps in facing terrorism and foreign intervention, achieving political reforms, implementing them, and providing security inside the country," he stated
Moreover, Abdul al-Lahaan expressed concerns of expanding instability to Syria's neighboring countries and its devastating repercussions on the region's security.
Abdul al-Lahaan also censured the Secretary of State's statement and described it as "intervening in Syria's internal affairs".

"Any conference that encourages ongoing violence in Syria is treason to Syrians and the resistance axis," he said.
