Makdissi: Turkey, Gulf States Responsible for Continued Syrian Bloodshed

Syrian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Jihad Makdissi said "Damascus holds Turkey and the Gulf States the responsibility of the continued bloodshed and undermining UN Envoy al-Akhdar Ibrahimi's mission."
Makdissi's words came in a statement he issued on Tuesday.
"The Turkish and Gulf sides were not committed to ensuring the success of the decision taken to halt military operations, the matter that holds them responsible for the continuation of bloodshed in Syria," he confirmed.
In parallel, Makdissi noted that this matter constitutes a clear attempt by these sides to undermine the mission of UN Envoy Ibrahimi, through their continual policy of funding, arming and harboring armed terrorist groups.
"The repeated statements of Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu reaffirm his determination to continue dragging the Turkish people into his government's policies which no longer receive approval and consensus as they contradict the interests and the historic and fraternal bonds between the Syrian and Turkish people," the Syrian spokesperson highlighted.
The Syrian official's words came in response to Turkish Foreign Minister statement in which he declared "Ankara rules out any dialogue with the Syrian regime."
However, Makdissi affirmed that "Syria will remain committed to the historic and fraternal relations with the Turkish people, which no government will succeed in undermining or damaging."
