Moscow Disappointed of Opposition’s Provocations, Ibrahimi: Syria Crisis Getting Worse
After meeting with international envoy to Syria al-Akhdar Ibrahimi, Lavrov stated "there was no point disputing over who broke the ceasefire."
"They are fighting more and more in Syria, provocations and inadequate responses to them are daily occurrences," he said, and pointed out that
"the goal for all Syrians is to stop shooting and sit behind the negotiating table.

Meanwhile, Lavrov said that there will never be a resolution of the Syrian crisis without a dialogue with the Syrian government.
He noted that there should be more pressure on Damascus and the Syrian opposition for applying ceasefire and moving to diplomatic solution.

For his part, Ibrahimi warned that "Syria's conflict is going from bad to worse."
"The Syrian crisis is very, very dangerous, the situation is bad and getting worse," Ibrahimi told reporters, lamenting that a truce he had helped broker over the Eid al-Adha holiday had collapsed.
In parallel, he retreated that " he has been calling what is happening in Syria a civil war."
"If that is not civil war, I do not know what it is," Ibrahimi mentioned. However, he announced that this would not let this discourage his peace efforts.

The international envoy further stressed that there was no immediate plan to send UN peacekeepers to Syria.
