Rokon-Abadi Denounces al-Hassan’s Assassination, Assures It Benefits “Israel”

Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghadanfar Rokon-Abadi condemned the assassination of Lebanon's Internal Security Forces intelligence chief Wissam al-Hassan, and said that the attack primarily "Israel" profited from the killing.
Following a meeting with Lebanese Information Minister Walid al-Daouk on Tuesday, the Iranian Ambassador said "I present condolences on behalf of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Information Minister on the martyrdom of Chief Wissam al-Hassan, sergeant major Ahmad Sohyouni and the other [civilian] victims. We strictly condemn and denounce the crime [bombing] that targeted al-Hassan and which primarily benefitted the Zionist entity, especially in light of the role that Hassan played in uncovering "Israeli" spy networks in Lebanon."
The Ambassador also voiced hope that Lebanon would overcome the crisis brought about by the killing of one of its top security chiefs. He further assured that Lebanon has a wise people and leaderships, and therefore will overcome this painful phase.
"Despite the Zionist scheme drawn to destabilize Lebanon, we believe that things will get back to normal soon," Rokon-Abadi assured.
