Sheikh Abed al-Razk al-Asmar Killed in Tripoli, Future Groups Cut Roads

Following the assassination of the intelligence chief of Internal Security Forces, General Wissam al-Hassan, several security incidents were recorded.
In Tripoli, the cleric Sheikh Abed al-Razk al-Asmar was assassinated Friday night after a Salafist grpup attacked the headquarters of the Islamic Unification Movement, in the northern city of Tripoli.
According to the National News Agency, the Lebanese Army intervened to restore calm.
The report added that the road linking Tripoli to Akkar, through the area of Baddawi, was closed.
Meanwhile, Future Movement members cut the roads in various Lebanese regions.
Al-Akhbar Lebanese daily reported Saturday that the scene of cutting the roads and burning tires governed the North, Western and Eastern Bekaa, East Beirut and the coastline from Khaldeh to Sidon.
"On the sidelines of cutting roads, heavy gunfire was witnessed in various villages of Akkar and Tripoli, as well as Sidon and Bekaa," it added.
Meanwhile, also in Beirut, Future groups burned tires to cut off roads at Beirut's Sports City, Cola, Salim Salam, al-Barbir and Kaskas.
