The first group of 2,000 American troops taking part in a big three-week joint war game with the "Israeli" army landed at Ashdod port Tuesday.

Dubbed ‘Austere Challenge 12', the live-fire exercise beginning Oct. 21 will simulate a missile attack on Occupied Palestine with the Patriots and the "Israeli" Arrow and Iron Dome anti-missile batteries taking part. It coincides with a high alert on "Israel's" northern borders with Syria and Lebanon.

According to "Israeli" Channel 2, the two-month drills will focus also on the cooperation between the US and "Israeli" armies.
US Patriots are due for delivery soon, said the source, adding that these will be deployed by the coming Sunday.

The Chairman of the Joint US Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Martin Dempsey will be present for part of the war game, as he arrives to the Occupied Palestine in two weeks.
The Channel 2 pointed to current "Israeli" fears of another unmanned drone breaching the airspace of Occupied Palestine from Lebanon. It also noted major surveillance is set at the Southern borders and Egypt as well.
