Sheikh Qassem Receives Syrian Ambassador: We Reject Turning Lebanon A Platform for Attacking Syria

The Deputy Secretary General of Hizbullah His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem received Friday the Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdel Karim Ali.

The two sides discussed the recent developments that concern both Lebanon and Syria.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Qassem affirmed Hizbullah's position to reject dragging Lebanon into the Syrian crisis or using it as a platform or a conduit to attack Syria.

His Eminence further rejected arms smuggling from Lebanon to Syria or harboring militants in some Lebanese areas.
"The solution in Syria is political," Sheikh Qassem confirmed and noted that " there is no possibility for any other solution."

In parallel, he expected that the current situation is to continue in the absence of a political solution. "This solution is also a Lebanese and regional interest," he concluded.
