In an interview with LBCI channel, Aoun highlighted that the Hizbullah drone came as a response to "Israeli" daily violations of the Lebanese sovereignty.
"There is a permanent "Israeli" attack on us. This was the first time we respond to this attack through a pilotless plane sent by Hizbullah," he said.

"What will you consider the "Israeli" warplanes that attack our territory and fly over our airspace daily?"
"Hizbullah's action was a reaction to continuous "Israeli" attacks on Lebanese territories," added Aoun.
In parallel, the MP further stressed that "our sovereignty logic orders us to stop any "Israeli" aggression against our sovereignty."

On another level, Aoun commented on the assassination attempt that he survived.
"We will have the appropriate position immediately after the conclusion of the investigation, and it is up to the judiciary," he announced.
He further revealed that the General Security branch has no more relation with the issue. Aoun also questioned the source of leaked information.

In parallel, the head of the Change and Reform bloc reitreated that he is against delivering security data information. "This is a crime against public freedom," he said.

On the electoral front, Aoun lashed out at March 14 electoral law proposal.
"We want a law that gives the Christians the largest number of deputies. This means releasing the Christian [parliamentary] seats; not necessarily for us, they could be for the Lebanese Forces. I am against a winner-takes-all system. I reject this system," he clarified.
