UAV still worrying "Israel"

The head of the Defense Ministry Diplomatic-Security Bureau Amos Gilad, said during an interview with "Israel" Radio, on Tuesday that the drone launchers have failed in their mission, noting that the party that launched the plane is still not clear.

Gilad claimed that those who launched the drone, which entered "Israeli" airspace last Saturday failed at both its missions.
According to Gilad, the first task is to retrieve intelligence, while the second task is or harm the reputation of "Israeli" air defenses.

Gilad claimed that the intelligence function of the drone failed because the craft was spotted from a long way away and, due to operational concerns, was shot down by the "IDF" over southern "Israel" when IAF officers were certain it was over an uninhabited zone. He also pointed out that the party that launched the plane is still not clear.

Barack checks upon IAF officers in the north after drone intrusion

"Israeli" media reported that Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Air Force chief Maj.-Gen. Amir Eshel visited Air Defense Command officers in a northern air base on Tuesday during an inspection tour.

"You are serving in an important and responsible position, especially during these times of regional uncertainties and challenges that are not simple," Barak told the officers.

"In the name of the "Israeli" government and the civilians, I came here to thank you for your dedicated and responsible work," Barak said.
It is worth mentioning, that this inspection visit of the air defense command comes after a drone violated the "Israeli" airspace and the "Israeli" army's decision to deploy a Patriot battery to intercept missiles in the Carmel area, north of Haifa.

Zionist Experts: Hizbullah's drone intrusion means the next target is gas installations in the Mediterranean Sea

Experts in the Zionist entity estimate that Hizbullah's success in sending a drone into the "Israeli" territory is a demonstration for its attacking future capabilities.
According to the site "Israel Defense", a specialist in the "Israeli" military, the Iranian drone launched by Hizbullah turned the issue of the protection of gas installations in the Mediterranean to a very urgent matter. "This is what the experts are saying in Israel."

So far the main threat that threatened the exploration and extraction installations in the sea was bombing boats or boats carrying gunmen. But Hizbullah's success in launching a plane, flying along the "Israeli" coast and then entering into the airspace for "Israel" has, according to experts, changed the entire picture. According to the opinion of some "Israeli" experts, the operation's primary objective is to test the ability of detecting a drone. This ability proved to be flawed, especially that this plane entered "Israeli" airspace and flew for about half an hour.

The experts added that Sayyed Nasrallah has already voiced threats against "Israeli" gas installations in the Mediterranean Sea. It appears that this unmanned aircraft obtained from Iran was not for intelligence purposes, because what can be obtained from this plane can be obtained from the service of Google earth.
One expert said the Hizbullah doesn't need any tactical intelligence, because the primary weapon is a rocket that does not need immediate information secured by drones.

The need for this type of aircraft, according to the expert, is for disturbance and for attacking large targets such as gas exploration facilities. Accordingly, the new situation requires directing a lot of other means for the protection of gas installations in the economic waters of "Israel".

Apparently, according to "Israeli" experts, the first reinforcement should be in the detection system that must match targets of small radar trace; radars with other sensors able to help in the early detection of this type of aircraft.
