Arab foreign ministers responded Wednesday to the request of the Lebanese Foreign Minister and the head of the 138 session of the Arab Ministerial Council Adnan Mansour.

Mansour: AL Meeting Condemned Insult of Religions, Anti-Islam Film
The confreres condemned insult of religions, and especially the anti-Islam film against the Holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
In an interview with "as-Safir" daily, Mansour commented on Lebanon's request to set the religion's insult on the agenda of a high-level meeting of Arab ministers in New York.

"This request is not a Lebanese one only," he said and noted that "the film offending the Noble Prophet not only forms an abuse and insult to Lebanon and its people, but rather an insult to all people of the world who are open to dialogue."
And whether it was an achievement for Lebanon, Mansour said "There is no doubt that this request was made by Lebanon, and we thank the Arab brothers for accepting it."
"This issue concerns everyone and it does not matter one party," he added.

In parallel, the Secretary General of the Arab League Nabil al-Araby informed the Arab delegations that he had received Mansour's message and call for a meeting. Thus, the ministers met Wednesday.
"It was set on the agenda," he added.
Al-Araby further mentioned that he held contacts with the European and the African Unions and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to work on an international legislation that prevents abuse of all religions.
