Dagan: “Israeli” Attack on Iran Stupidest Idea Ever
Local Editor
Former Mossad chief Meir Dagan said a potential "Israeli" military aggression against Iran's nuclear energy facilities would be the ‘stupidest idea ever heard.'
"An attack on Iran now before exploring all other approaches is not the right way how to do it," Dagan said in an interview with CBS's 60 Minutes program on Sunday.
"Israel" has recently stepped up their rhetoric against the Islamic Republic of Iran, threatening the country with military action to halt its peaceful nuclear energy program.
"Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and its war minister Ehud Barak have been pushing the UK and US to take a tougher line against Iran.
The US, "Israel" and some of their allies accuse Tehran of pursuing military objectives in its nuclear energy program.
Iran has refuted the allegations maintaining that as a committed signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and a devoted member of the International Atomic Energy Agency, it has every right to develop and acquire the nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
