Mansour Calls for Urgent AL Meeting on Ant-Islam Film
Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour revealed Monday that he had called Arab League Secretary-General Nabil al-Araby to ask him to organize an emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers to discuss the US anti-Islam film.
According to Mansour, the US "Israeli" film "constitutes a flagrant aggression on the Noble Prophet as well as on the faith, spiritual feelings, and beliefs of more than a billion and a half billion Muslims in the world."
"This continuous aggression along the past years , escalated against the Islamic religion, the Holy Prophet, and Quran," Mansour noted.
He further stressed that "we must face this serious turn with firm and decisive decisions when it comes to religions, especially that the Islam, is facing an ugly, focused, deliberate, and planed campaign."
Mansour declared that "al-Araby contacts will begin during the next few hours with the Arab ministers to hold an emergency meeting."
Meanwhile, Lebanon holds the rotating presidency of the Arab League's Foreign Ministers' Council.
