In the frame of continuous communication with the Head of Eastern church, a Hizbullah delegation met Thursday the Maronite Patriarch Bshara al-Rai.
The delegation headed by the Head of Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Mohammad Raad met al-Rai at his summer residence in Diman.

Well-informed sources close to the conferees told "as-Safir" Lebanese newspaper that the meeting was greatly intimate. "They tackled the general Lebanese situation, both at the political, security and economic levels as well as the electoral law," the sources clarified.
They also revealed that "the delegation discussed the current regional developments."
Hizbullah Delegation Meets al-Rai, Raad:

After the visit, MP Mohammad Raad highlighted that "the visit formed an opportunity to reiterate our open and active contact with the head of the patriarchate and our conversations and exchange of opinions on many issues important to the country and the Lebanese people."

On the regional level, Raad stressed "there is no doubt that the threats against the region, especially from the "Israeli" enemy and its continuous violations against sanctities, were discussed in the meeting."
"The attack on the Palestinian monastery shows that this is the existential enemy that the President and the Prime Minister must complain to the Security Council," he said.

The MP further noted that "the complains against a brotherly state as if it was an enemy is irrational."
Raad also expressed Hizbullah's complete readiness to welcome the pope and that all Lebanese are looking forward to his visit.

"This visit is also an opportunity to reiterate our open and active contact with the head of the patriarchate and our conversations and exchange of opinions on many issues important to the country and the Lebanese people," he added.
