Sayyed Nasrallah: US Blackmailed Al-Assad, Hand Us Resistance Head… We End Crisis
The Secretary General of Hizbullah His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah addressed Monday a number of internal and regional files, where the main focus was Syria, Palestine, "Israeli" threats to Lebanon and the resistance.
Nasrallah: Hizbullah Stronger than Ever, Beware
In an interview with al-Mayadeen TV, His Eminence reiterated that "Hizbullah today is stronger than the year 2006 and that the resistance is prepared and ready for any future confrontation with "Israel"."
As Sayyed Nasrallah explained that the "Israelis" always plan on destroying all the rocket launchers during their first strike, he advised the "Israeli" community and military institution "not to bet on a first strike because even if few rockets survive we can still turn the life of "Israelis" into a living hell."
"Our targets are not only military, we will retaliate with the same intensity of any "Israeli" assault," he stressed, pointing out that "when the "Israelis" say they will destroy all Lebanon then I tell them, we will destroy everything in the Zionist entity."
In the same context, Sayyed Nasrallah highlighted that "Israel" suffers a lot of many weak points which extend from economy, industry, electricity and nuclear reactors."
" If "Israel" decided to attack Lebanon away from respecting international restrictions, we will not abide to any limits," he emphasized and stressed that "the resistance's rockets can reach all its targets in Occupied Palestine."
"I tell the "Israelis" that Hizbullah can target their electricity plants, which will cause them huge economic loss," he stressed.
Commenting on the reports that Hizbullah possesses chemical weapons, His Eminence confirmed that these are merely claims. "We in Hizbullah do not possess chemical weapons and we will not use such weapons due to our religious beliefs."
In parallel, the head of the Lebanese resistance stated that the party has a very influential power that constitutes a true defense force.
In parallel, Sayyed Nasrallah expressed surprise over some Lebanese politicians who overlook "Israel's" threats." When "Israel" threatens to destroy Lebanon, our duty is to say that this era is over. We must defend our sovereignty and launch a threat that is based on facts and a balance of terror."
"Our people believe us and the enemy believes us too," he clarified, and further noted "Israeli" military affairs minister Ehud Barak told his soldiers that they might return to Lebanon, and I told the resistance fighters to get ready for a day when they might have to enter the Galilee region and this option is still on the table."
Nuclear Issue Excuse to Strike Iran
On the "Israeli" threats to attack Iran, Sayyed Nasrallah warned that the ""Israeli" PM Benjamin Netanyahu and military affairs minister Ehud Barak are serious about going into battle with Iran."
"The nuclear issue is an excuse to strike Iran although it is not real. These two men want to drag the Americans and some Arab countries into war," he said.
As Sayyed Nasrallah ruled out a possible "Israeli" aggression against Iran because of the international community's objection, he considered that both "Netanyahu and Barak are trying to blackmail Washington in order to obtain billions of dollars or advanced missiles from the US."
"I think the "Israeli" community is divided between supporting and opposing an attack on Iran," His Eminence iterated.
US, "Israel" Against ‘Pro-Resistance' Syria
Sayyed Nasrallah also commented on the Syrian crisis by saying: "after the eruption of the Tunisian revolution, we in Hizbullah announced that we aren't remain silent and that we need to follow a decisive criteria."
"To us, any Arab uprising or regime is tested by the following: The first criterion is their stance on the Palestinian-"Israeli" conflict . If this regime is against the resistance scheme then we would support the revolutionaries who are trying to topple it. The second criterion is whether this regime is willing to engage in dialogue or not," he recalled.
On this level, Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that there is an anti-"Israel" regime in Syria that also helped in fighting the US occupation in Iraq."
In response to the rhetoric that the Syrian regime didn't liberate the Occupied Golan Heights, Hizbullah's Secretary General said : "The regime in Syria made greater achievements while they failed to do anything."
"The Syrian regime has always supported the Palestinian resistance, and it has also supported the Iraqi resistance," Sayyed Nasrallah said and noted that "while the Syrian regime insists on dialogue, the so-called opposition rejects it."
He further highlighted that "the opposition demanded the fall of the Syrian regime, but no regime in the world would accept that, especially if it has a vision."
"Some countries want to oust the entire regime, not only President Bashar al-Assad," His Eminence emphasized. He also mentioned that the western and Arab countries aim at toppling the Syrian regime due to its stance against the Zionist entity."
Moreover, he unveiled that "a key Arab state currently supporting the armed Syrian rebels asked the Syrian President to end both his alliance with the resistance forces especially with Iran and Hizbullah as well as his threats to "Israel" to end the crisis."
" Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, Egypt and the states concerned must support dialogue in Syria. The rational solution lies in ending the fighting and resorting to dialogue, which would protect us all," he stated.
Meanwhile, Sayyed Nasrallah cautioned that both the US and "Israel" are satisfied with the Syrian scene , without forgetting that "Israel's" dream is to spread chaos in the region."
In parallel, His Eminence ruled out the possibility of a military intervention in Syria. "The US administration started negotiations with Taliban. They don't want any other war."
He further clarified that the "consequences of military intervention in Syria won't be predicted or guaranteed and who said that the Americans want to settle the situation in Syria."
However, His Eminence warned of sectarianism in Syria.
New Global System Ahead, Palestine Remains Central Cause
On the international front, Sayyed Nasrallah predicted that "the current period is forming a new global and regional system, new alliances and new powers."
"The monopoly of a single world power does not exist anymore; there are many international and regional countries who have developed into world powers," he said.
His Eminence urged "the Arab regimes of playing an international role, yet this depends on the ambitions of the Arab countries."
"When the Syrian crisis started, the weapons flooded into the country , we start having doubts about the uprising. They want to make Arabs and the Islamic World forget about the Palestinian cause," he said.
His Eminence also recalled that "the transformations before the Syrian crisis were in favor of the resistance movements, such as the revolutions in Tunisia, Libya, Egypt and Bahrain, and we know the new movements and their stances on the resistance, Palestine and "Israel".
According to Sayyed Nasrallah, Palestine, the nation's central cause, remains a religious and dogmatic responsibility for Arabs despite the US and "Israeli" attempts to eliminate it from the priorities of the Arab and Muslim people.
"The world is busy with the surrounding events, while "Israel" is engulfing more Palestinian land, especially in al-Quds," he warned and pointed out that "whenever an event takes place, whether minor or major, they try to shed light on it in order to divert Arab attention from Palestine."
As he called the Arab and Islamic world to unite on dismantling this goal, His Eminence stated that "no matter how difficult our local situation is we should always focus on Palestine."
"Resistance is our essence and nature and one can't abandon his essence," he confirmed.
"I have met with several leaders from Arab countries known to be moderate and they told me that Hizbullah voices what they cannot say due to their alliances and circumstances," His Eminence explained.
Stability Maintained through Survival of Current Gov't
Moving on to the internal arena, Sayyed Nasrallah viewed that the current Lebanese government is not less productive than the previous governments. "It is a productive government and we believe that some parties want to push things to chaos. We believe that stability can be maintained through the survival of the current government. "
Addressing the kidnappers of Lebanese Shiite pilgrims in Syria, Sayyed Nasrallah urged the captors to set the remaining men free, stressing that keeping them in captivity will not affect Hizbullah's political position on Syria.
"If you are freedom seekers, then these people are innocent and you should set them free," he said.
