Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Nawaf Moussawi asserted Sunday that the US policy of sabotage is the root of evil that struck has Lebanon.
"This policy has recently peaked by inciting civil war as well as sectarian and tribal strife," he said, noting "to defy this sectarian discord, it is necessary to diminish the US authority in Lebanon."

During a ceremony to commemorate the martyrs of the Islamic Resistance in South Lebanon, Moussawi urged the Lebanese government to reject US threats which prevent the Lebanese from benefiting from Iranian aid in electricity crisis.

"We call the cabinet to sign agreements of military cooperation with Lebanon's friends, including Russia and China, to arm and equip the troops," The MP stated.
Moussawi further reiterated Hizbullah's full support to House Speaker Nabih Berri's calls for rejecting sectarian rhetoric.
On Future bloc's request for UNIFIL to amend UN resolution 1701 and to United Nations Interim Forces at Lebanon's northern borders, the MP pointed that the UN forces ought to implement first the articles of resolution 1701, especially the one concerning cessation of hostilities."

He further reminded that ""Israel" still refrains from applying this article after six years of its issuance, as it continued its violations of Lebanese sovereignty and occupation of Ghajar village."

As he called Lebanese sides to understand the background and objectives of the call of Future Bloc, Moussawi explained that "following the failed attempts to establish buffer zones in Syria's neighboring countries, Lebanon was chosen to assume this burden, namely establish a buffer zone in Lebanon."
He finally warned against such proposals that have nothing to do with the protection of the Lebanese.

"Do not let anyone venture into dangerous experiments that violate the Lebanese entity and its sustainability. Be vigilant about the trap that claims to protect you, an attempt to create a buffer zone that the country cannot bear the cost of," the MP said.

He also gave the examples of Turkey, Jordan and Iraq all refusing to create buffer zones at their borders as a warning sign that this could not be a good move for Lebanon.
