Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Ali Fayyad stressed that "the two critical developments that the Arab region witnessed recently are resembled by the toppling of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak regime and the withdrawal of US military out of Iraq with little or no strategic gains."

In a speech he delivered at an Italian conference, Fayyad explained that "the Syrian developments must be understood in the light of these two-turnovers."
"The political reform in Syria is one of the dimensions of the crisis but not its essence," he clarified.

The MP further noted that "the path adopted by foreign interventions seeks to undermine Syria's position in the conflict with "Israel" and its support to the resistance."
"They aim at resetting the balance that was achieved in favor of the resistance alliance after the 2006 July war and successive American failures," he stated and noted that "the base of Syrian solution is in meeting the reforms that the people seek in parallel to facing foreign conspiracies."

In parallel, Fayyad highlighted that "the nation's interests require that the developments of the "Arab fighting democracies" become controlled by the popular will, so that they will face the occupation, support the Palestinian people, and reject the US hegemonic policies."
"We are witnessing a decade of instability and regional transition," he said and called for the formation of a new regional system based on mutual Arabic- Turkish and Iranian understanding.

The MP explained that "such an understanding permits the reorganization of influence, recognition of interests, and limiting the artificial contradiction between Sunnis and Shiites."
As he confirmed the importance of accelerating the return of Egypt to its vital national role, Fayyad stated that the "Muslim Brotherhood" is a reliable partner at the strategic level, regardless of the current tactical necessities.
He concluded by saying that "the resistance axis is firm in defending its positions and options and it won't allow the grabbing of the gains it achieved in the past years in face of "Israel" and America."
