Hizbullah Denounces Attack on Journalist Abu Fadel
Hizbullah condemned the attack which took place against the Lebanese journalist Joseph Abu Fadel in al-Masnah region the [Lebanese road to Syria], and issued the following statement:
As Hizbullah denounces the vicious assault against the colleague Joseph Abu-Fadil, which led to his injury and the destruction of his car, the party expresses its full solidarity with him.
In parallel, Hizbullah holds the security agencies responsible for their inaction in the protection of journalists, what constitutes a cause for serious concern on the progress of journalism in Lebanon.
We urge all the concerned parties to take the necessary measures to protect journalists and prevent their abuse because of their opinions, as well as to help them carry out their duties.
