The "Israeli" Comptroller, Micha Lindenstrauss, issued a 153-page document in which he accused "Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of inadequately heeding the military warnings, ahead of the "Israeli" navy attack on the Gaza-bound Turkish flotilla in May 2010.

The report found flaws in how Netanyahu and War Minister Ehud Barak prepared to intercept the Mavi Marmara ship.
Lindenstrauss believed that the decision-making process of Netanyahu at that time suffered from "substantial and significant deficiencies."
"The prime minister's decision-making process included no systematic, summarized, coordinated and documented staff work," the report read.

Also, the report stated that although Netanyahu, the army, intelligence, and so-called national security council were aware that this flotilla was of an exceptional nature, compared to previous flotillas, yet they "did not give instructions for the implementation of a proper integrated policy for dealing with the flotilla, and instead held a separate private meetings with the "defense" minister and foreign minister."

Moreover, it revealed that a few weeks before the flotilla set sail, "Israeli" Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi warned of using violence in intercepting the ship, but rather suggested it would be thwarted via diplomatic means.
After Ashkenazi's warning, Netanyahu managed to hold four work meeting with Ashkenazi in this regard, yet no record of the content of the meeting were produced.
