Qom Tells The Story of Lebanese Resistance
Sayed Hadi Mousavi- Qom, Iran
The first Artistic exhibition of Hizbullah in Iran is underway in the city of Qom, 156 Kilometers, southwest of the capital Tehran.
This exhibition entitled "Qom, Uprising, Resistance" was inaugurated on May 12, by the Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi at Jawad Al-Aema's portico of the holy shrine of Hazrat Fatimah Masoumeh.
In the ceremony, the Grand Ayatollah stressed the necessity of such exhibitions and wished success and endurance for Hizbullah followers that has brought pride for Muslims and blessing for the Hizbullah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
The exhibition, in an area of 1200 square meters, shows the various stages of the formation of the Islamic Resistance and its culture, which is derived from the Ashoura culture and the Islamic Revolution of Iran. Important phases of 30 years of Resistance and victories of Hizbullah in face of the Zionist occupation force are highlighted too.
"Qom, Uprising, Resistance" starts with symbols of Imam Hossein (as) uprising that has been a main source of inspiration of the Islamic Resistance. Then speeches of Imam Khomeini and Imam Khamenei about the courage of Hizbullah fighters are shown.
The next part is the reconstruction of some of the key positions of the fighters on the Mleeta Mount. Mleeta situated in South Lebanon, became an advanced strategic and military position of the Islamic Resistance against the enemy's established buffer zone since the first withdrawal of the "Israeli" occupation in 1985. About 500 fighters sacrificed their lives in this stronghold to finally liberate that zone.
The history of the resistance is told by text, images and charts and films.
The last part is dedicated to cultural activities of Hizbullah, where Ressalat (the association of artists), Al-Maaref (cultural and Islamic activities), Al-Manar Television, Kashafat Imam Mahdi (scouts) and Al-Mahdi schools present their activities.
The exhibition that started on the birthday anniversary of Prophet Mohammad's daughter -hazrat Zahra- will last 23 days and finish on June 4, anniversary of Imam Ali (as).
The last day of this exhibition coincides with a very important day in the Iranian Islamic Revolution history; the manifestation of people in Qom in 1953 to support the speech made by Imam Khomeini was brutally cracked down and the fury over it, turned people of other cities to protest. Thereby, this uprising is known as the beginning of the Islamic Revolution.
The exhibition is due to continue in other cities through Iran.
