Sheikh Qassem: Lebanon Won’t be Passageway for US-“Israel” Anti-Syria Scheme
Deputy Hizbullah Secretary General His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem indicated that Lebanon today relies on major principles, among which are that "the resistance project has revived Lebanon, protected it and made it in an advanced position in all surrounding affairs".
"Previously they used to say that Lebanon is affected by its surrounding, and I tell you that Lebanon is indeed affected by its surrounding, but after the resistance, Lebanon now affects its surrounding; we have grown a stance that affects, changes, and reflects on the general reality", His Eminence stated.
Sheikh Qassem added, "We consider that those who are demanding the disarmament are bankrupt people, who are trying to come up with a slogan which they believe is attractive, but in fact it is worthless and cannot be interpreted, not now or ever".
"That is why for us, this slogan is a repetition for the US-"Israeli" demands that want Lebanon to be weak so that they would control it, and with the presence of this resistance and its weapons, the US and "Israel" will not be able to pass Lebanon's gate to receive what it wants", Sheikh Qassem iterated.
On the Syrian level, Sheikh Qassem indicated that the interference in the Syrian affairs does not serve the interests of Lebanon, and Lebanon cannot bear any interference either.
"Lebanon cannot be a gate for the US-"Israeli" scheme against Syria. Let the Syrian people choose what they want. What's the relation of those in Lebanon to interfere? This is harmful for Lebanon and is reflected negatively on it", Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General wondered.
"Lebanon cannot be exploited as a gate to import terrorism in all its kinds and shapes, whether it's named Islamic terrorism or national terrorism. We are against exploiting Lebanon as a platform or a passageway for any shape of terrorism, which does not have any horizon or project but chaos and killing without any reason", he further emphasized.
"Our [Hizbullah's] stances that led to "Israel's" defeat returned South Lebanon, contributed to reconstructing it and attained true internal stability. While when "Israel" was broadly occupying [South Lebanon], it used to interfere in triggering conflict domestically", Sheikh Qassem clarified.
"Hizbullah will remain on its stances, and we are convinced that these stances protect Lebanon and its future", he said.
Moreover, Sheikh Qassen indicated, "We don't have any regional or international bets, and we don't have bets on the collapse or remaining of regimes. We don't have bets on international changes like the change of the UN Security Council's opinion, with or against us. Our only bet after Allah almighty is on our resistance, potentials, stances, and patience before all challenges, and we are convinced that this is the only road that leads to a result".
