Eye on the Enemy: Netanyahu : Possible Agreement with KSA, Arresting Soldiers for Drugs
15 Soldiers from Select Units Arrested for Drug Use, Deals
"Israel" Hayom - Lilach Shoval
Military Police arrested Monday 15 soldiers, most of them from combat units on suspicion of dealing drugs and using them. Among the arrested soldiers are combatants from select units "Maglan", "Nahal", and the armors unit. Others arrested are of senior positions and some are assistants working in the fields of combat.
Yesterday (Monday), the "Israeli" army reported that the some soldiers are residents of "Tsela" neighborhood in Tel Aviv, while others live in the neighborhood of "Hatikva" and elsewhere. A source familiar with the case said that the soldiers are of parents who are very eminent persons.
The arrests were made possible by a widespread intelligence investigation that lasted for months.
In fact this is not the first time that the military police investigation arrests soldiers for using drugs, but the number of soldiers who have been arrested this time is relatively large. During the soldiers' interrogations, investigators will try to expose whether all the soldiers use drugs, or there are some who are dealing them too.
A military source told "Israel" Hayom that the arrests carried out yesterday are part of addition activities held in recent months to fight drug addiction in the "Israeli" army.
Same source added, "At the moment, we do not intend to carry out more arrests in this case, but this won't halt us from arresting more suspected soldiers. The detention period of the soldiers is supposed to be extended, as a session will be held at the Military court of Jaffa.
The official spokesman for the "Israeli" army in response to the topic said that "the military police is investigating in this case. In the end, results will come out and the right decisions to be taken will be discussed by the military judiciary. "

Netanyahu Hints: Possible Agreements with Saudi Arabia
News1.co.il - Idan Youcef
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he hoped "Israel" and Saudi Arabia would establish peace agreements.
During an online chat with visitors from Arab countries, he said:"We have many common interests that we can develop in economic, political and regional perceptions. I believe that Saudi Arabia sees- as we do- a great danger in the terrorist expansion of extremists and we expect the Saudi regime as other regimes will work against these dangerous forces".
Netanyahu responded to questions, mostly political, and said that he is interested in coming to Ramallah to negotiate with Abu Mazen, but unfortunately, Palestinians are not interested in serious negotiations. He called Abu Mazen - Abbas to seize the opportunity:
"I supported the Palestinian economy. Peace is the introduction of an economic and political peace, and of a Palestinian state living in peace next to "Israel"," he said. Recently, Netanyahu spoke at the Knesset about the American withdrawal from Iraq, and said that there is a need to prepare for new threats from Iraq.
