During the last day of its "Velaya 9" ten day's naval drills, Iran announced Monday that "it has successfully test-fired long-range missile."

According to IRNA, "Tehran successfully tested a Ghader ground-to-ship cruise missile on the last day of navy war games near the Strait of Hormuz."

"This missile built by Iranian experts successfully hit its target and destroyed it," Deputy Navy Commander Mahmoud Mousavi stressed noting that "it was the first time a Ghader missile had been tested."

"Both missiles have a range of 200 kilometers (120 miles),"Mousavi clarified pointing out that Mousavi earlier told the ISNA news agency that "Ghader is an ultra-modern missile with integrated, ultra-precise radar whose range and intelligent anti-detection system have been improved over previous generations."

Mousavi unveiled that "the navy was to test two other types of missiles later Monday, a surface-to-surface Nour missile also with a range of 200 kilometers, and a Nasr anti-ship missile with a shorter range."

"Ghader" is entirely built by Iran while Nour "has been improved with its anti-radar and targeting system."
