Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei stressed that "the responsibility of religious scholars has doubled after people's general direction to Islam after the recent developments and the anti-capitalism uprising.

In a meeting with a gathering of Shiite and Sunni clerics in the Iranian province of Kermanshah, His Eminence noted that "the Islamic Republic of Iran's vision to Marxism has been achieved and its vision to capitalism is in the process of verification."

Calling the scientists to be armed by logic and Islamic knowledge to meet people's need to find out the truth in various parts of the world, Imam Khamenei emphasized "the necessity of the religious scholars to deal with the onslaught against Islam by making use of appropriate means."

"Shia and Sunni clerics must remain very vigilant about plots, and find ways to counter enemies' schemes through holding joint meetings and cooperation," he called.
Imam Khamenei divided the waves of leaning towards Islam in the world into three stages and said "the first wave of leaning towards Islam took shape simultaneously with the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran," adding that the second wave began after the failure of Marxist system.

The Leader described the recent popular movements in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as the disappointment of Western people with capitalism as the third wave of leaning towards Islam.
