Leader of the Islamic Revolution Sayyed Ali Khamenei stressed once again that the key role of Muslim masses around the world is to foil the plots hatched by the arrogant powers trying to manage events in the Middle East and North Africa.

Imam Khamenei, in a meeting with Iranian officials and people on Wednesday, said that the ongoing events in Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen, Libya, Bahrain and certain other countries are "determining" for Muslim nations.

"Muslim countries will have a "progressive move" for a long period of time if the will of Muslim nations overcomes those who are making efforts to interfere in their affairs," Imam Khamenei added.

he went on to say that "However, if the global arrogance, arrogant powers and the international Zionism, including the tyrannical US regime, succeed to ride the waves (of regional developments) and take the lead of the scene, the Muslim world will definitely face with big problems for tens of years."

His Eminence emphasized that the Islamic Awakening in the region and the presence of people in the scene to determine their destiny were "vital and valuable" experiences in the history of Islam.

The Leader noted that Muslim nations, particularly the political and cultural elite of the Muslim world, shoulder a "very important and sensitive responsibility to prevent such a deplorable event."

Today, is the day of a big test for Muslim countries and nations because Muslim people became aware of their capabilities and great power, Imam Khamenei pointed out.

Moreover, the Imam said the performance of the Iranian nation over the past 30 years was a clear example of resistance and the use of utmost capabilities, stressing the Iranian people are currently experiencing one of the most brilliant historical juncture.
