In a press conference refuting the Special Tribunal for Lebanon published
indictment, Head of Loyalty to Resistance Bloc MP Mohammad Raad described the STL as fake aiming with its US-"Israeli" agenda of blackmailing the resistance.

"STL's indictment is false and does not follow the international standards. It is aimed at indicting noble resistance fighters," Raad said.

Clarifying that the "indictment adopted an "Israeli" reasoning in addressing the Resistance and that it is based on American standards that are not adopted on the international scene," Raad emphasized that the Resistance thwarted the repercussions of the indictment that came pale lacking any respect the minimum standards of justice."

"STL indictment was not credible. STL General Prosecutor Bellemare revealed that he was just a servant in a political investigation," Raad added.

Stating that "the indictment lacked any direct evidence and that Bellemare was intent on targeting Hizbullah and its allies in an effort to blackmail the resistance," MP pointed out that "The Lebanese are determined to uncover the truth and reach justice."

"The STL and its findings will not achieve these goals," he said.

ON the STL politicized course, Raad explained that "such a tribunal can't be expected to achieve justice and we would not be surprised if it was employed for the interests of imposing foreign hegemony over Lebanon."

"The indictment was released from an entrusted side that is not keen on justice or the truth," Raad acknowledged adding that "the indictment lacked any direct evidence and Bellemare was intent on targeting Hizbullah and its allies in an effort to blackmail the resistance."

"What we provided on "Israeli" aircraft surveillance and "Israel's" control to telecommunications sector as well as "Israeli" agents presence just a day before the crime in the assassination's square was sufficient to make Bellemare find direct evidences against "Israel" and not just circumstantial evidences," Raad said.

"Bellemare did not conduct investigations with the "Israelis" because the investigation is politicized," he stressed.

"The indictment's terminology demonstrates that the investigation team and the international tribunal are aimed at seeking revenge from the Resistance," he concluded.

Noting that "the Resistance will not be blackmailed and it will not succumb to the will of its enemies, Head of Loyalty to Resistance Bloc stressed that "the resistance will thwart all the conspirators' goals and it will determine the way it will defend itself."

"Those behind the incitement are delusional in thinking that they can tighten the noose around the Resistance and blackmail it," he continued.

"The US- "Israeli" targeted Resistance will exercise its complete right to defend itself by appropriate means." Raad concluded.

Describing the "Time's" fabricated article as a great scandal, Raad called to "uncover the new false witnesses in the STL issue."
