The Egyptian government stated on Saturday that the "Israeli" War Minister Ehud Barak's "statement of regret and apology" for the death of the Egyptian security soldiers, who were shot by "Israeli" gunfire, was insufficient.

Accosting to Egyptian official news agency MENA, the Egyptian Government stated that the "Israeli" decision to work with Egypt to investigate the killings is "positive in appearance but does not fit with the weight of the incident and the state of the Egyptians' outrage from the "Israeli" action".

Furthermore, the government added in its statement that there should be a deadline for the joint investigation into the aforementioned incident, adding that the crisis meeting will continue until results are released.

After the "Israeli" enemy killed the Egyptian Security officers on the borders between Gaza and Rafah, the Egyptian authorities announced it was withdrawing its Ambassador from the occupied territories, stating that the attack was a breach of the 1979 peace treaty.
In a "verbal" statement which Egypt found not enough, "Israeli" War Minister Ehud Barak said, ""Israel" regrets the deaths of the Egyptian officers that occurred during the attacks along the "Israeli"-Egyptian border".

The incident caused huge rage among Egyptians, where people flooded to the streets surrounding the "Israeli" embassy in Cairo, demanding his departure. Protesters removed the "Israeli" flag from above the embassy and replaced it with the Egyptian flag.
