Qabalan: STL Politicized, Indictment Uncovers its Goals
Local Editor
Deputy-head of the Higher Shiite Supreme Council, Abdul Amir Qabalan, praised the high level Lebanese citizens' awareness in the wake of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) indictment of four members of Hizbullah four days ago. He assured that the tribunal and its indictment aim at sowing strife in Lebanon, which is an "Israeli" dream that the Lebanese will not allow to happen. Qabalan questioned in his religious sermon the credibility of the court against the backdrop of media leaks.
The Sheikh urged the International Community and Lebanese government to study in-depth circumstantial evidences presented by Hizbullah chief Hassan Nsarallah yesterday. Qabalan wanted cabinet policy statement to allude explicitly to the "Israeli" 2006 aggression on Lebanon with the strongest terms of condemnation possible.
